“Even though this was our second child - and my second time having natural childbirth - we felt less prepared than we felt the first time. We already had a child, and we were living through the pandemic, so I was working and parenting full time, so I didn’t have a lot of time to prepare myself for childbirth. Within just a couple of weeks of working with Genevieve I felt mentally prepared, I felt physically prepared. She also helped us sort through a lot of practical things, such as getting my hospital bag sorted, and that was great. Being mentally ready in particular was important to me, and I really felt prepared to have my baby when I did go into labor. A lot of the things she said to me while I was in labor (and sometimes having a tough time with the hospital personnel) came back to help me through that process. I highly recommend her, she made all the difference in my birthing experience the second time around, and I would definitely use her again if we decide to have a third.”
